“Ukrainian Federation of Yoga” is a school of Yoga.
Object of the application of knowledge and practice of Yoga is a human being, together with their emotions, feelings, breathing, consciousness, thinking, conduct and body.
We understand and use the word “Yoga” in three meanings:
► as a method for a person’s development
► as a harmonious state of a practitioner — a state of composure, that emerges as a result of meditations
► as a philosophical system of knowledge
Initial acquaintance with the basic ideas of our methodology may be obtained through the books of Andriy Safronov “Yoga: the History of Ideas and Views,” and “Yoga, Physiology, Psychosomatics, Bioenergetics.”
In Richmond, USA, instructor Tatyana LeBlanc offers Sandhaana yoga sessions in English.
Those interested may join online groups, with classes in English conducted by instructor Dimitrios Danilidis.
The UFY syllabus includes:
► Hatha Yoga — classical asanas, contemporary practice sets, and pranayama practices.
► Human Anatomy — movement and breathing patterns.
► Creation of individual practice sets.
► Chakras discourse — the language for describing feelings, emotions, and motivations.
► Meditations and Psychopractices — exercises aimed at enhancing consciousness and developing control over mental processes.
► History and Philosophy of Yoga — the interrelations between yoga and psychology.
