Human health, medicine is a family tradition in my family, in which the medical profession has been handed down for several generations.
Continuing the tradition, she graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the National Medical University named after Bogomolets She continued her master’s studies at the School of Health Care, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Completed a full training course in Ashtanga-Vinyasa and Pranayam classes in South India at the Mandala Yoga Chalet in the city of Mysore, studied in Tibet at the first courses for Europeans at the Institute of Tibetan Medicine Men-tsee-khang (Ladakh, India) under the Dalai Lama. I consider it important to be able to choose the right keys in the practice of hatha yoga, based on my medical and pharmaceutical experience.
Deepening her understanding of the categories of Yoga, she came to the conclusion that it is impossible to understand the tradition without knowledge of Sanskrit grammar. That is why I have been studying Sanskrit with Andrii Safronov for 5 years. She studied with famous teachers in Russia and the classics of the Indian traditional school – Vaghisha Shastri.
Made more than 20 trips to unique places in India, Nepal, Europe, Mexico in order to study different cultural traditions.
In the process of practice, she became fascinated by the aesthetic and sensual aspects of Yoga. After visiting temples in Khajuraho (India), studying Indian culture through reading the Kamasutra, Kama Samuhki, Ananga Ranga decided to study the European tradition of sexology. Studied at the “Sexology” course at the Kyiv Institute of Modern Psychology and Psychotherapy (KISVP). One of the results of this passion was the launch of the all-Ukrainian sexuality education project SEX.Prostir.
I follow scientific conferences in the field of yoga, Sanskrit and sexology. Sometimes I read open lectures about various aspects of yoga and sexuality development.
Working with veterans I created part of a curriculum to train sexologists and psychologists to work with veterans in the program for sexual life rehabilitation of wounded military personnel by RECOVERY center.
As a result of practice and experience, as well as at the intersection of these passions, my unique understanding of Yoga was born. I belong to practice and self-education as an integral part of life. In classes, I teach work with the body, awareness and sensuality. I instill in my students the ability to deeply feel the body and understand themselves more deeply.
For the past two and a half years, I have been conducting a series of volunteer open classes for Ukrainians at the Seeschau studio in Zurich. These classes would not have been possible without the help and comprehensive support of the founder of the studio Regula Kurtі and her team ❤️.
